Steve Canada has a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master's
degree in Sociology. He has been educated in Maine, New York, California,
Japan, Germany, Portugal, Sweden (Uppsala University 1964-5), France
(Alliance Francaise, Paris 1966). He taught school in England, 1967-1968
, after moving from Paris with his then wife and living in London. He had a UFO sighting at age ten (3 nighttime disks flying fast and low in a triangular formation stopped suddenly, quickly separated into 3 equal segments each, floated down to earth in falling leaf motion, less than half a mile away; somewhere in the Midwest, along a highway) & has been interested in UFOs ever since. |
|
He first taught a university-extension UFO course at Lowell University in Mass. 1988, for 10 hours. Same UFO extension course at Salem State College, Mass. 1989. After returning to California, he conducted UFO weekend and evening workshops at Cabrillo College (near Santa Cruz), Allan Hancock College (Santa Maria), & Cuesta College (San Luis Obispo) 1991-93.Alternating semesters at these colleges he conducted weekend workshops on Crop Circles and his deciphering methods (1992-3), Also at Hartnell College in Salinas, 1998. He began writing his first book on crop circles and his interpretation of them in 1990, while living in Morro Bay. It turned out to be 10 volumes long, entitled Crop Circle Language (no longer in print, but some volumes still available, for serious collectors only; inquire of the author). These volumes were later edited, reorganized by subject and issued as 8 separate titles (most of which are still available) . Since then, more then 40 titles have followed (most of which are still in print), interpreting each successive crop circle season's multitude of complex formations. Consistant findings, derived from the application of 3 original decipherment methodologies, have led to profound and deeper insights into who are responsible for the circles and where the makers are from. Steve Canada has given public lectures on his discoveries and deciphering methods in Carmel, Santa Cruz, Monterey, and Sacramento. In addition, many radio broadcasts and television appearances. For more information on these appearances contact via e-mail Steve Canada. Each Season's formation designs support his findings that information imbedded in the designs refer us to one and one cultural and historical base, that of ancient Sumeria (the first civilization, which originated writing, that thrived about 5000 years ago).

"STEVE CANADA, author, researcher and lecturer, must be the most prolific writer on crop circles I've come across yet (38 of his books are listed in Books-In-Print and he intended producing six more in 1997 alone). Again, his works are low-key productions, photocopied and stapled or spiral bound. And charming: packed with information, illustrations and theories on the origin and meaning of the circles phenomenon. Two recommended titles are Crop Circles - A Convergence of Narrative and Crop Circles: Interim Report on the 1994 Season in England. The former is subtitled "Making Sense of the Symbols. Closing the Loop of History. Answering the Question Why in England?" and deals with the "extraordinary and distinctive pattern fit of crop circle symbols with one, and only one, human historical and cultural database of Sumerian symbols." The latter explains on the cover "Author's Translation Theory reveals consistent findings with previous seasons. New decoding principles discovered, and new identities of Returning Rulers uncovered. More Mars connections depicted." (John Sayer) 25
